Many members have seen long-term success with The Mindfull
"The Mindfull has added such a rich dynamic to my life! It has helped me develop a deeper connection to my mindfulness in everyday life, as well as a meditation practice that I have come to cherish. I'd absolutely recommend The Mindfull to anyone looking to find a deeper meaning in life, as well as building connections with like minded people!"
Jesse Klein
"In addition to helping me build a meditation practice, The Mindfull has been particularly valuable in creating a space for deep and vulnerable connection. I now have a community of others who I can turn to not just for help with my practice, but bigger questions about life."

Detailed course curriculum

Our 12-week curriculum is heavily inspired by Jon Kabat-Zinn’s Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Program, which has been rigorously reviewed and completed by over 24,000 members with scientifically-backed results. Read the research about MBSR. Our weekly meditation guidance (which includes daily meditations) leverages key insights from habit-expert James Clear and his book Atomic Habits.

Week 1: Program Overview & Connection

  • Live session: We start by reviewing the program agenda and goals. We then use a New York Times framework to get to know each other a bit better as we kick things off.
  • Commitment: 1 min/day meditation practice (recordings sent every morning)

Week 2: sharing our story

  • Live session: We can often go years being close friends with someone without really knowing them. As the group gets more comfortable with one another, we create space for each member to share the defining moments of their life as a way to get to know each other and gain perspective.
  • Commitment: 1 min/day meditation practice (recordings sent every morning)

Week 3: exploring mindfulness

  • Live session: Mindfulness starts with looking at ourselves and our body. We’ll partake in mindfull eating and learn the technique behind the body scan.
  • Commitment: 3 min/day meditation practice (recordings sent every morning)

Week 4: Mindfull Vulnerability

  • Live session: How does it feel to take risks and put yourself out there? We’ll turn theory into practice by playing (and then reflecting on) several improv activities as we get to know each other better.
  • Commitment: 3 min/day meditation practice (recordings sent every morning)

  • Live session: James Clear talks about the power of habits and what they can say about our identities. We start by reflecting and discussing how we relate to meditation and what our practice says about us.
  • Commitment: 5 min/day meditation practice (recordings sent every morning)

  • Live session: The first two (of four) laws of the best-selling book Atomic Habits is to focus on making your habits obvious and attractive. We'll explore those frameworks in the context of our meditation habit and set clear goals for the coming week.
  • Commitment: 5 min/day meditation practice (recordings sent every morning)

  • Live session: The other two laws of Atomic Habits is to make your habits easy and satisfying. We'll reflect on these concepts in the context of our own practice so that we can truly build a habit that sticks.
  • Commitment: 7 min/day meditation practice (recordings sent every morning)

Week 8: mindfull listening

  • Live session: How do we bring our increased mindfulness to others? We start with a roleplay where we practice mindfull listening. Then we put this into action by practicing mindful listening during our check-ins. After that we'll reflect on that experience and how we can be better listeners for ourselves and those around us.
  • Commitment: 7 min/day meditation practice (recordings sent every morning)

Week 9: deepening your practice

  • Live session: During this session, we will explore our edge when it comes to meditation. We'll practice a longer meditation and observe what comes up for us as we lean into that experience together.
  • Commitment: 10 min/day meditation practice (recordings sent every morning)

Week 10: off-week

  • We take a week off to give our minds time to recharge. We continue to maintain our 10 min daily practice.

Week 11: Taking Care of Ourselves

  • Live session: In today’s fast-paced, constantly changing world, we can be so tough on ourselves. We start with a loving kindness meditation and an exploration of how we might be judging ourselves in our meditation practice. We then explore what type of sensory experiences — phones, food, social media to name a few — that we take in that may be self-destructive and what we can do about them going forward.
  • Commitment: 15 min/day meditation practice (recordings sent every morning)

Week 12: Looking Backward, Celebrating Forward

  • Live session: The end is the beginning. As the formal program comes to a close, we review the key lessons learned and celebrate the changes made to our day-to-day lifestyles. We review our year-long commitments going forward to ourselves and to the group so that we can cement our takeaways from the last 12 weeks.
  • Commitment: Review your post-program commitments and verbally commit to the group

how it works

The Sangha Experience

Over time, we have learned how to create space that enables meaningful connection and a deeper look at ourselves. Our weekly sessions, structured curriculum, and meditation tools serve as the bedrock of the Sangha experience.

Weekly sessions to go deeper

The key component of the Sangha experience is the 1.5 hour weekly check-in. What makes Sangha unique is a determined focus on intimacy and commitment. Every week, you see the same small group of people every week, enabling deeper, more meaningful connection.

Structured curriculum that makes it simpler

Each Sangha program is inspired by a time-old framework that serves as a base point for us to delve deeper. For instance, we may explore our life through the lens of the Hero's Journey Framework. Or we may use Buddhism's Noble Eightfold Path to better understand our path.

Meditation tools to help further your practice

Every morning, you will receive a daily meditation from one of the world's leading meditation instructors including Tara Brach, David Ji, and others. In addition to this, we will track our daily practice and progress using a social habit tracker app to help you build, or deepen, your practice.

The Noble Eightfold Path, one of the frameworks we use at Sangha.
