You have the ingredients to live a happy life: a decent job, close friends, and good health. But deep down, something isn’t right. Daily stressors, burnout, and exhaustion often get in the way of living our best lives.
Kindred Minds is a membership to tackle the roots of these problems. We utilize evidence-backed techniques and the power of community to manage life’s stressors, uncover your deepest self, and reach goals to live your best life.
Regular live sessions with your cohort:
Live sessions and deep connections are the heartbeat of Kindred Minds. Every other week, you will meet with your cohort of 10 & a trained facilitator to connect, learn, and discuss a core topic designed by a coach/therapist with domain expertise. The best part: your cohort doesn’t change, allowing you to really connect with your group of 10.
Expert-developed lessons & exercises:
In preparation for every live session, you'll spend 30-45 minutes working through an expert-developed exercise that will teach you a core concept for your mental health toolkit.
One-on-Ones:
After every session, you will be paired with another member in your cohort for a one-on-one. During the one-on-one, we share guiding questions to cement learnings and create space to deepen connections with one another.
Membership costs $149/month and requires a 3-month commitment as you will be placed within a cohort of 8-10 others for that time period.
Our structured approach makes learning more effective and actionable. We integrate frameworks such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), somatic therapy, and mindfulness. All of our sessions & exercises are designed by licensed therapists and led by trained peer facilitators.
Having a group of others where you can be at ease and share your most vulnerable thoughts is core to building a meaningful learning experience. Each cohort is capped at 10 members and no one can join after the program starts, allowing for repeated interaction and deepening trust.
It can be hard to stay on track with building your mental health. We use social accountability and time-bound sessions & exercises to make sure you learn and implement the insights you signed up for.
You feel unmotivated and just not excited to take on the day. You know life can be better but it's hard to pull yourself out of this frustrating state of being where you just don't feel like doing much.
You are overwhelmed with too many things on your plate. You get anxious just thinking about it. By the evening comes around, you are just exhausted and looking to things like Netflix, unhealthy food, and desserts to help you feel better.
You are on a quest to live your best life. You might not know exactly what that looks like. As a result, you’re open to learning and committing to different ideas and habits in this pursuit.
In a world of constant stimulation, it's easy to get lost in the noise. At Kindred Minds, we focus on managing stress by learning about and implementing rigorously tested frameworks including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), embodiment, and mindfulness among others. Each session is designed to be interactive and all participants are asked to dial in with their videos on.
During this 1.5-hour session, we will focus on using ACT techniques to manage your stress patterns and handle strong emotions. By the end of the workshop, you will leave with:

Self awareness and intention are the cornerstones to living our best lives. And meditation is a powerful tool for us to understand who we really are. In addition to an optional daily meditation schedule, we use a social habit tracker outside of our weekly sessions to help keep you accountable.
After your first session, it's less than $25 per 1.5 hour session*.
*For those who cannot afford it, we are happy to work with you to come up with an individualized payment plan.
Over time, we have learned how to create space that enables meaningful connection and a deeper look at ourselves. Our weekly sessions, structured curriculum, and meditation tools serve as the bedrock of the Sangha experience.
Weekly sessions to go deeper
The key component of the Sangha experience is the 1.5 hour weekly check-in. What makes Sangha unique is a determined focus on intimacy and commitment. Every week, you see the same small group of people every week, enabling deeper, more meaningful connection.
Structured curriculum that makes it simpler
Each Sangha program is inspired by a time-old framework that serves as a base point for us to delve deeper. For instance, we may explore our life through the lens of the Hero's Journey Framework. Or we may use Buddhism's Noble Eightfold Path to better understand our path.
Meditation tools to help further your practice
Every morning, you will receive a daily meditation from one of the world's leading meditation instructors including Tara Brach, David Ji, and others. In addition to this, we will track our daily practice and progress using a social habit tracker app to help you build, or deepen, your practice.
What is Kindred Minds?
Kindred Minds is a cohort-based membership with bi-monthly group sessions to help manage their mental health and explore life’s bigger questions with others who get it. We hope to build an experience that leaves people feeling more aligned and connected with themselves others. We prioritize community over everything else. When you sign up for membership, you will join a cohort of 8-10 other people along with a facilitator and will meet twice a month for 3-month increments.
Throughout our program, you'll learn about evidence-backed frameworks to manage stress and anxiety such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Somatic Therapy, meditation, and mindfulness. By the time you complete your first three months, our hope is that you've built meaningful relationships with people in your cohort and cultivated a deeper sense of meaning for yourself.
How Do I sign up?
To sign up, you must first attend an introductory experience. This gives you an opportunity to experience Kindred Minds for yourself before signing up. Cohort-based learning requires a commitment to show up and invest in the community. It isn’t for everyone which is why we require you to try out an introductory session before becoming a member.
Memberships are opening in Summer of 2022, so join an introductory experience now to learn more, experience it yourself, and get early access to become a member.
Is this a replacement for therapy?
Kindred Minds is not a replacement for clinical therapy or a substitute for professional treatment. However, many of our members have found that our programs have helped them manage their mental health.
We like to think of ourselves as group fitness for mental health. You typically go to a fitness class to build strength, resilience, and endurance for whatever physical challenges life throws your way. In a similar way, Kindred Minds helps you build emotional and mental muscles that will help you live a grounded, resilient life.
What is the typical flow of a session?
Our sessions are built on three pillars: connection, reflection, and intention.
We start by grounding ourselves through a short meditation. This is followed by KM Check-Ins which aims to build deeper connection and vulnerability amongst the group. We then dive deep into the topic for the session by reflecting on our learnings and discussing how it applies in our lives. We leave with clear takeaways and actions that we'd like to implement to improve our day-to-day going forward.
Who will the other members in my cohort be?
We are a community of curious seekers on a quest to live a meaningful life. We are looking for deep connection. And we are working towards being the best version of ourselves. The others in your group share a similar commitment to building a more mindful life and a passion for taking care of their mental health.
Kindred Minds is open to all who believe in our shared values of basic goodness, intentionality, and connectedness.
How much does the membership cost? What does it include?
After you attend a free introductory experience, you will have the option to sign up for a membership which is $99/month.
The membership requires a 3-month commitment as you will be placed within a cohort of 8-10 others for that time period. The membership includes 2 live sessions/month, 2 expert-developed exercises/months, coffee chats & prompts, free access to quarterly workshops, and access to our online community.
